On the fourth Sunday of each month at 4pm, we have With Open Hands - a mini
retreat held in St John’s church, Meadowfield Road.
Lasting no longer than 45-50 minutes, we give ourselves time to step aside, stop and
think. Month by month, we have varying themes with readings, music and periods of
quiet reflection.

St Peter's, Bywell

Welcome to St Peter's. This ancient parish church has welcomed people for over 1,200 years and today serves the people of Stocksfield, Bywell, Broomley, New Ridley and Apperley. 

We worship in three church buildings in the Stocksfield area for our services, St Peter's, Bywell, St John's in Stocksfield and St George's Mickley.  Please check the location of any event or service you would like to join.  We would love to see you.

Our parish of Bywell: St Peter is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).
