This is an opportunity to get in touch with the Christmas story, and an opportunity to think about it informally with others. We’ll have a little electric fire to toast marshmallows on, and each evening think about a different nativity story character with a carol, a poem and a bible reading (the CPR). Drop in for one or more evenings as you wish. See this month's magazine for more information.

Holy Cross Haltwhistle

Welcome to the Holy Cross Haltwhistle page. We have a warm and friendly fellowship at Holy Cross, and we also try to keep our building open each day from at least 10am till 2pm so people can look around our 800 year old building and pray there. Come and visit - services are mostly Sunday mornings at 9.30am, or Thursday morning at 10am.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Haltwhistle: Holy Cross is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Safeguarding Officer - Stephanie Wigham 01434 320256, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer Jill Thirlaway on [email protected].
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
