Opening

Due to the current lockdown and refurbishment to the roof the Abbey is not currently open. We plan to open again after Easter or as soon as Covid-19 conditions allow.

Worship is taking place on-line.

Getting here

The Parish Church of St. Andrew, Hexham.
Founded by St. Wilfrid and originally a Benedictine Abbey, then an Augustinian Priory and now the Parish Church of Hexham, this has been a place of Christian worship since AD674.
As a living parish church, it is the focal point for Hexham's spiritual and cultural life with worship offered here every day just as it was in St Wilfrid's day.
