Looking ahead to the autumn

In September we're hosting a traditional Choral Evensong for the whole parish, with a choir providing music including hymns, an anthem, and sung responses. A restful and beautiful service to round off the weekend, with refreshments afterwards.

Sunday 13 September, 4.30pm

Our activities for children and families will be highlighted at a family open afternoon on 20 September. Activities, pizza, and a chance to meet the team and find out more about what we offer.

Sunday 20 September 4.00-5.00pm

More music in October, as we hold our very own Songs of Praise. Come and join us singing favourite hymns, and hear why they've been chosen.

Sunday 11 October, 4.00pm

All Souls is an occasion to remember and give thanks for those we love who have died. There will be a quiet service of music, readings and prayers, and the opportunity to light candles in memory of those we have lost, whether recently or long ago. Followed by refereshments and a time to talk.

Sunday 1 November, 4.00pm

November sees the annual Remembrance commemorations. We are joined by members of Wideopen ATC Squadron for a special morning service of Holy Communion (at the earlier time of 9.45am), followed by a parade to the War memorial in Seaton Burn and the traditional Act of Remembrance. All are welcome at either part.

Sunday 8 November. 9.45am in church; parade 10.40am; 10.50am at the War Memorial.
