We were pleased to host the YCCN Climate Relay for lunch on Thursday 7th October, as they continue their way from Cornwall (and the G7) to Glasgow for the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference. We were also very pleased to welcome Mary Glindon, MP for North Tyneside, two of our local Councillors (Anthony McMullen and Muriel Green), and council officers, as well as students from Greenfields Community Primary School. The welcome was warm - and our MP spoke passionately for Climate Justice, and backed all four of the climate finance demands which YCCN (and Christian Aid ) are taking to the Conference.
