We aspire to work with our community to Live Well with Dementia. Bill Lomas, one of our churchwardens, is a Dementia Friend, and attended a "Sporting Memories" morning at the Northumberland Club in Jesmond, organised in conjunction with the Jesmond dementia awareness group, where Bobby Moncur, the captain of the last Newcastle United side to win a major trophy, was the guest of honour. They are pictured together. It was a morning much enjoyed by all and to be repeated on the second Wednesday of each month at the same venue.
