Afternoon Eucharist

Monthly. Every First Wednesday at for 30 mins
St Columba
West View Wideopen Newcastle upon Tyne, NE13 6NH, United Kingdom

A quiet said service of Holy Communion with a short reflection, followed by refreshments and a time to chat.

This is our usual midweek service, but is being held in the afternoon for a short trial period.

St Columba

We are a friendly and welcoming church in the heart of Wideopen - and part of the Christ the King Team parish.

Our main Sunday worship (10am) is a traditional service of Holy Communion, with traditional and more modern hymns sung to organ music. We also have a weekly said service (currently at 9.30am on Wednesday), and a monthly Messy Church.

If you'd like to know more about baptisms (Christenings), weddings, and funerals at St Columba's, please contact Ruth, the Team Vicar, for more information.

Safeguarding

The Team Parish of Christ the King, of which St Columba's is part, is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Mrs Marjorie Fairbairn 0191 2362280, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
