Church of England Diocese of Newcastle Kingston Park

St John's Church Kingston Park

Welcome to the Church of St John the Evangelist, Kingston Park.

We are a Local Ecumenical Partnership, a shared church comprising the Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.   We offer a warm welcome to our services and events.  At present, we are offering morning worship at St John's in parallel with home worship available on Facebook and the church website, as well as in printed form.   In more normal times, Sunday worship is at 10 am and 6.30 pm; Junior Church and our young people's group, Genesis, also meet on Sunday mornings.  As well as Sunday worship, we have a midweek drop-in coffee morning, The Beacon (now meeting on Zoom), and a lunchtime Communion service, both on Wednesdays, the Tiny Tots toddler group, and evening house groups (also currently meeting on Zoom).  Our building is home to many groups in the local community.

St John's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
