Prayers of Love and Faith at Holy Nativity
As a parish within the Inclusive Church Network, we are committed to welcoming and valuing every person, recognising each as made in the image of God. We believe that loving, committed relationships are gifts that enrich individuals, communities, and the life of the Church.
The Church of England has authorised Prayers of Love and Faith (PLF) — prayers that may be used at important moments in the relationships of couples who are in committed same‑sex relationships.
Our Practice
At Holy Nativity we offer:
- Prayers with couples during regular services
- Private prayers with clergy or lay ministers
- Blessing of households and families
- Pastoral conversations, preparation, and ongoing support
These prayers are not a marriage service, but they are a way of giving thanks for and celebrating a couple’s love, commitment, and shared life.
Who Can Receive These Prayers?
Any couple seeking God’s blessing and support is welcome to enquire, regardless of sexuality, gender identity, or relationship structure permitted under PLF guidance.
