Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is a priority at St Augustin's, our volunteers undergo safeguarding training and have current DBS certificates

We are committed to following Government Guidance and “Promoting a Safer Church”The Church of England’s Safeguarding Policy statement for children, young people and adults. Our Safeguarding team follow the guidelines for recording and report abuse and for safe recruitment of workers and volunteers. Our formal safeguarding policy can be seen upon request from Revd. Canon Glyn Evans or Dorothy Edwards our Safeguarding Officer or if you have any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child or vulnerable adult you can speak to either Glyn or Dorothy on 0191 258 6653.
