Sunday 4 May was an important day for Brooke and Thomas Armstrong, two young adults in our church, who were confirmed by Bishop Mark (Bishop of Berwick). The full church enjoyed an uplifting service and gave their support to Brooke and Thomas who made a public profession of their faith in, and promised to follow and serve Jesus in their lives. They also received their first communion as full members of the church. Bishop Mark stressed in his sermon that the heart of the Christian faith was love. God’s love for us, and our love for God and one another in return. Brooke and Thomas’ Sponsors were David and Margaret Riches, and Penny Horseman prepared Thomas and Brooke for their confirmation. We offer our prayers for them as they begin this new stage in their christian journey.
