Christmas always seems to be accompanied by jolly songs, ringing tills, and the expectation that you will have a good time. But that’s not how it feels for many people. Maybe your year has been hard - for whatever reason (bereavement, illness, estrangement, worry) – and Christmas seems to highlight the difficulties. Or maybe in an over busy life, you just want space to reflect, recall, regroup.

Welcome to St. Cuthbert's Parish Church Amble. 

The North East is a friendly and welcoming region, and you will find our congregation to be no exception. Amble is a small coastal town of about 6,500 inhabitants. It has a strong community feel and a background in fishing and mining. The deep mines are all gone, but a small fishing fleet remains and Amble is finding a new way forward as a centre for tourists on the north Northumberland coast. In the summer we welcome many visitors to the town and to our church. Amble is a good place to live, and our church aims to play an important part in the social and spiritual life of our community.
