St John the Baptist, Lowick

A very warm welcome to Lowick and the Parish Church of St John the Baptist.

Our new Vicar, Rev. Charlotte Osborn was licensed on Wednesday 27th January 2021, after an interregnum of 3 years. We have resumed public worship services of Holy Communion on Sundays at 9.15am.

We are delighted to be able to welcome visitors back into our building. We continue to be mindful of the needs of the clinically vulnerable and sanitizer is provided and due care taken at the distribution of wafers at communion. Whilst there is a need, we are continuing to hold a virtual service with hymns, prayers and a sermon every Sunday at 11.15 on zoom, to which all are welcome by contacting Revd Canon Dr Rob Kelsey by email: [email protected]

The parish of Lowick & Kyloe: St John the Baptist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
