About Us

✨ About St Mark’s Church, Kingsthorpe

St Mark’s Church sits at the corner of St Mark’s Crescent, just off Greenhills Road in Whitehills, serving the communities of Whitehills, Spring Park, and Obelisk Rise for more than seventy years. Built to support the growing suburbs of Northampton, St Mark’s offers a bright, flexible, and surprisingly spacious worship space.  Many visitors are amazed at how large and welcoming it feels once they step inside.

Everyone is welcome at St Mark’s, whatever your age, background, or experience of church.

⭐ Worship and Community Life

Our main service takes place at 10am every Sunday, and you’re very welcome to simply come along. Services are relaxed, friendly, and accessible, with space for reflection, prayer, and community.

Throughout the week, St Mark’s is part of a lively pattern of activities across the Parish of Kingsthorpe Team Ministry, which includes St John the Baptist and St David’s. Together, our three churches offer a wide range of groups, events, and opportunities to connect.

You can explore more about our worship style through Worship or find out what’s happening across the parish through Events.

🌱 Our Hall and Community Space

We’re fortunate to have a wonderful church hall that serves as a hub for local groups and community activities. Regular users include:

  • Tai Chi classes

  • Rainbows

  • St John Ambulance Badgers

  • Children’s parties

  • And many more

You may also recognise the hall as your local polling station during elections.

If you’d like to know more about hiring the space, you can explore Hall Hire.

🛡 A Safe and Welcoming Place

St Mark’s follows the Parish of Kingsthorpe’s safeguarding policies and is committed to ensuring that our church is a safe place for children, young people, and adults. You can read more on our Safeguarding page.
