Welcome to St Mary’s Church Roade! We are part of the Salcey Benefice group of Churches, comprising the villages of Ashton, Roade, Courteenhall, and Hartwell, Anglican Churches in the Peterborough Diocese.Having had a presence in Roade for many centuries, bringing a witness, St Mary’s Roade is a wonderful place where faith comes alive with a rich heritage of worship, and the community feels like family. Whether you’re exploring Christianity for the first time, returning to church, or looking for a vibrant spiritual home, we’re here to journey with you. As a Christian church, we seek to be a positive partner with other churches across our benefice to bring Jesus’ Kingdom values. We are committed to following Christ, sharing His love, and serving our community with open hearts. Rooted in the Church of England, we cherish our rich heritage while embracing a Spirit-led approach to worship and service. Our church is a place where everyone can belong, grow, and find purpose in the teachings of Jesus.Join us at our regular service each Sunday at 10:30 a.m., we gather to worship, blending contemporary and traditional styles that welcome people from all walks of life sharing Holy Communion on the second Sunday of the month. For those who prefer a more traditional service, we also have a service on Thursdays at 10am, with a full traditional Holy Communion on the same second Sunday of the month at 9 am. And for those who love to let their hair down and have some fun, we have Café Church on the third Sunday of the month at 4 pm in place of the regular service at 10.30 am. Please see our calendar for further regular events. (currently being updated).Throughout the week, we connect in small groups, such as our children’s benefice group Archway and our Home Groups. We love building friendships and deepening our understanding of God’s Word. No matter where you are on your faith journey if you are thinking of joining us then you will be most welcome. Please introduce yourself to the Welcome Team and greet those around you when you visit. And take the time to join us for refreshments after the service and get to know us all.
