About Us

You will find a warm welcome at St Francis' Church, one of two active Anglican communities and one closed church (St Michael's Church, Upton) in the parish of Duston & Upton. The parish is a Team Ministry. The communities in the Parish are united by our common belief in Christ, serving the community in Duston and Upton, Northampton.

Our service is on Sunday 10am (after the service there is an opportunity to enjoy a coffee and a chat). The also a short (said) service of Holy Communion at 10am every Thursday in the Chapel.

We welcome people of all ages including children and young people.Together with members of our sister community, St Luke's we share many opportunities to learn about and to grow in faith, as well as social activities including outings, music and arts events for all ages.

Our modern, light and friendly church was opened in 1968 and incorporates a community hall, parish office and chapel. Fittings and furnishings were provided by local firms and architects including the Cornish slate panels, the stained glass windows depicting the sun, moon and stars of St Francis’ Canticle, the font and the wooden cross.
