Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers 100th Anniversary January 5th 1924 saw the foundation of the PDGCB In 2024 the Guild are hoping to ring in every tower in the Diocese. The Guild will be coming to Rutland for two planned events in May and August. I have been invited to join a band to ring a Quarter Peal on February 29th 2024 in St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Uppingham as part of the centenary celebrations. We will be ringing Plain Bob Major which is a method on eight bells. This will be a challenge for me as I haven’t rung a quarter peal on eight bells for over twenty years.
