About Us

St Giles Church is an ecumenical church (Anglican and Methodist) and consists of a thriving and lively community of Christians, worshipping and working together to share the Gospel. Our aim is to be 'A community rooted in Christ, sharing God's love with all'.  Everyone is welcome at our churches, of whatever age, background or tradition. We are members of the Inclusive Church Network.

Christians have worshipped here for at least 1,000 years and we seek to continue to show God's love in our community today and to work together with our sister churches in nearby villages, as well as other groups within our town. We are passionate about helping people to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ - discovering what fullness of life can look like when we start to follow Jesus and be open to the Holy Spirit changing our lives, and equipping us for his work in the world.

Desborough is a growing Northamptonshire town of around 12,000 people, between Kettering and Market Harborough. It has a proud heritage and a strong sense of community.

There are many organisations attached to St Giles, catering for the social and spiritual needs of a wide range of people of all ages and backgrounds. Our Community Centre, near to the church, is the base for most of these groups and is well-used by many in the local community.
