Church of England Diocese of Peterborough St. John the Baptist, Peterborough

St John the Baptist

An inclusive church in the heart of the city of Peterborough - a living heritage of faith since 1407.  We currently have two services of Holy Communion each week, on Sundays and Fridays, both at 11am. The church is also usually open on Saturday mornings, when there is a weekly coffee shop serving hot  drinks and home made cake.  The church is often used as a venue for musical and other events.  You can find out more about the church on our parish website, and  details of forthcoming events can be found here. Our daughter church, St Luke's, sits at the heart of the residential area of our parish.

Our parish is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).  The Diocese of Peterborough’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advised our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
