About Us

Welcome to St. Mark’s (Church of England) Church, Peterborough. We are a friendly, all-age, evangelical church in the heart of the city.

Our vision is to grow St Mark’s, making a MARK for Christ in our community and city:
Making Christ known
Acting in love
Reaching out to care and serve
Keeping Christ central

We have two services every Sunday. Our traditional service is at 9.15am where you will find traditional hymns and communion each week and then at 10:45am we have a contemporary service where we aim to have live music with worship songs, a talk and space for you to feel free to worship as you wish. If it is the second Sunday of the month our contemporary service is Cafe church in the hall and is all age with a mixture of activities and lots of cake! If there is a fifth Sunday in the month our contemporary service will be a healing service with emphasis on prayer. See our website for more details.
Children meet in the hall during the contemporary service for their own group and whilst there is no group for them at the 9.15am service they are very welcome to join you at the service.
The church is also open on the first Monday of the month (April - October) between 5pm and 9pm for prayer and reflection. Please feel free to drop in for a few minutes or more, or the whole time; help yourself to a cup of tea or coffee from the servery and join us in the chapel; sit in a pew or use the prayer station set up by the altar.

In addition to the services, there are various activities available, including Home Groups, music group, youth group and one off events. See our Events page for other upcoming happenings.
Please look through our website to find out more about the life of our church. We hope to see you soon.
