On the fourth Sunday of the month, at 4.30pm for approximately 60 minutes, we celebrate Holy Communion. Holy Communion in the Church of England is a communal act of remembrance and participation in the sacrifice of Christ. It includes hymns, prayers, Bible readings, and a sermon or address. Holy Communion is a service in which the faithful come forward to receive bread and wine as the body and blood of Christ, or if preferred receive a blessing. Holy Communion, also called the Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper, is a Christian sacrament commemorating Jesus Christ’s sacrifice through the sharing of bread and wine, His body and blood (1 Corinthians 11:26, Luke 22:19-20). It emphasizes communion and fellowship with God and unity among believers, serving as both a personal act of worship and a communal celebration of faith.
