All Saints Church
All Saints Church is a welcoming Christian community, with a lovely church building that goes back at least as far as the 12th Century in parts, and is part of the Church of England within the Diocese of Portsmouth.
There is a 9.30am Holy Communion service most Sundays. The only difference to this will be in months where there are 5 Sundays - on those fifth Sundays we will have a joint Benefice service with St James Clanfield, starting at 10am. Baptisms may be included in the service on the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month. There will be an 8am Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.
COVID-19 Update: With the news of the new variant of COVID-19 and associated uncertainty, and with the re-introduction of mandatory face masks for shops and public transport, face masks are once again required to be worn throughout our worship services for anyone who is not medically exempt. This decision reflects national Church of England guidance that their use should be strongly considered, and the high prevalence of COVID locally. We hope to get back to face mask use as an option very soon. We will continue to provide seating with a bit more space between seating positions, but elsewhere in the body of the church you may sit how you wish, with whom you wish.
The parish of Catherington: All Saints is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Portsmouth’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
