About Us

Welcome to St. Philip's Cosham; the church at the heart of the Highbury Estate.

In partnership with our sister church, St. Peter & St. Paul Wymering, our aim is to share God's love with the people of Cosham and Wymering in the north of Portsmouth - "Two Churches One Heart".

Find out more about us by visiting our website: www.coshamandwymering.org

St. Philip's, predominately serves the Highbury estate, and some of the surrounding areas. The Sunday service is at 11 am with a mixture of traditional and contemporary service styles, and there is a weekly community lunch club, open to all, which is held in the church hall every Monday.

The well equipped hall is available for hire.

The St. Philip's Church building is historically significant and Grade II listed. It was the last church to be designed and built by the renowned architect Sir Ninian Comper and his son Sebastian. It is described as "possibly one of the most outstanding pieces of architecture of the inter-war period”, and is listed in several guide books including: Simon Jenkins' book The Thousand Best Churches & Pevsner's Buildings of England.
