Church of England Diocese of Portsmouth St. Cuthbert Portsea

St Cuthbert, Copnor

WELCOME TO ST. CUTHBERT AND ST. AIDAN’S churches.

We are Anglican (Church of England) churches which are located in the North East corner of the ‘island’ of Portsmouth.

PARISH LEGAL TITLE – ST. CUTHBERT, PORTSEA

St. Cuthbert’s Church, Copnor has served the community which has grown up around it, for 100 years.

St. Aidan’s Church was ‘planted’ on the new housing development of Anchorage Park to the North of the parish in 1992.

The Clergy and Congregation at either of our churches will be delighted to welcome you, both on Sundays or at activities on other days of the week.

Our Vicar and his wife; Revd. Canon David & Revd. Canon Jeanette Power retired on 30th September 2018 and we are currently without a Vicar until a new appointment is made.

In the meantime, services continue as usual and will be led by our part time Assistant Priests, our Readers and retired clergy from the Diocese.

There’s a lot going on! Do get in touch, as we’d like to meet you in person if at all possible.

May God bless you, today and in the future.

Churchwardens and members of St. Cuthbert and St. Aidan’s Churches.
