Church of England Diocese of Portsmouth St. George, Portsea

St George's Church Portsea (Harbour Church Portsmouth)

“Our beautiful St. George’s Church Portsea has been around for over 250 years and is now the home of our dynamic 9:00 and 11:00 services!”

We have two nearly identical morning services at our Gunwharf location for you to choose!

9:00 am: A lively service with childrens’ groups for ages 0-11. We start with freshly ground coffee and pastries.

PARKING: There is free parking at St. George’s Beneficial CofE Primary School from 8:45 (Entrance of parking found at Beneficial Street)

11:00 am: A lively service with childrens’ groups for ages 3-11 and Youth from 11-14. We start with freshly ground coffee and pastries.

PARKING: There are plenty of carparks around for this service. The cheapest we’ve found is Anglesea Rear (RingGo 1244) and Mildam (RingGo 1245) . They are a 5 minute walk away and are £2 for the whole day. Alternatively Gunwharf Quays car park is the closest and biggest nearby.

The parish of Portsea: St George is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Portsmouth’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
