Getting here

St. Mary’s, the most recent to join the Benefice is located in the centre of Kintbury which is a thriving village with a variety of shops and pubs, a doctor’s surgery and a Church Primary School. ‘Notrees’ is an old peoples’ residence in the village with an established Eucharistic ministry provided each week by the Ministry Team.

The church building dates from late Norman times and is in very good structural and decorative repair thanks to the dedication and hard work of ‘The Friends of St Mary’s’.  The south transept provides a self-contained chapel.  The main church building is able to seat about 200 people and there is a small crèche/children’s area at the back.  Attached to the church is St Mary’s Room, which serves a number of purposes, including Sunday School, coffee mornings, computer café and church affiliated meetings.   There are two services every Sunday.  Once a month, one is a Family Holy Communion.  Attendances at the services is around 8 for the early BCP communion and 40 for the main morning CW service which follows and at which the adult robed choir sings. For festivals and civic services the church is full.
