Holy Spirit

Welcome to The Church of the Holy Spirit, Newtown. We are a small and friendly welcoming church and we're always happy to see regulars and visitors to our services and events. The church is open everyday to provide a restful space while visiting the National Trust Nature Reserve.

We are part of the West Wight Mission Community which combines the West Wight Anglican churches of Freshwater, Yarmouth, Totland Bay, Brighstone, Brook, Mottistone, Shorwell, Calbourne, Newtown, Shalfleet and Thorley.

Please see under News and Notices for details of services each month or check out the church porch. If you wish to be kept informed of services and events at Newtown Church please contact the Administrator for the West Wight Mission Community via: [email protected] and your name and email address can be added to the circulation list for 'The Link'.

Safeguarding

"The parish of Newtown is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Portsmouth’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
