On Saturday 22 April villagers from both villagers took to their litter pickers and bin bags and made a considerable difference to the roadsides. They were rewarded with soup and rolls in the church afterwards, which gave an opportunity to meet and congratulate themselves on a job well done. It's just a shame that people feel it necessary to throw their rubbish from cars as they pass through. This accounted for most of the rubbish collected. The bags of rubbish were later taken to the tip for disposal.
