Getting here

St. Mary's is an all-age, inclusive community with a wide variety of religious traditions.   Sunday services follow Common Worship Liturgy and Holy Communion is celebrated every week.  There is also a mid-week Eucharist on Thursdays at 10am.  Sunday services are at 9.15am on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday of the month with Junior Church provided on-site, and at 11am on the 1st Sunday of the month when there is an All-Age Service.  There is a tinies Church for pre-schoolers, every second Friday afternoon, (details from the parish office in the village or from the parish magazine, or website.)

There is a traditional robed choir and an all-age choir for first Sunday services with a mix of musical styles.   The church aims to encourage children in the musical life of the church by awarding twice a year the 'Leonora Gold Music Award' .

There are strong links with the local C of E primary school which has its Christmas, Easter and Harvest services in the church and other events throughout the year (e.g. in 2011 the Lamberhurst St. Mary's Wedding Day/ A Holy Week Meditation Experience).   For one week each Summer the Church hosts a Holiday Club for children aged between 4-11 years.  Previous themes have been 'X-marks the Spot', 'Who's the King of the Jungle?' and 'Seaside Rock.'

There is a Caring Group and Follow-On Group that is involved in pastoral care in the community.  They are involved with visits, hospital transports, social activities and care.

The Lamberhurst Musical Festival organises a number of top-class concerts at St. Mary's throughout the year including classical musicians, Oxbridge choirs and gospel and jazz performers.

There are a number of interesting, historical features in this ancient church worth noting.  Also worth a visit is the famous 'Piper' stained glass window.  Church guides are available on sale for £2.

St. Mary's is linked to St. Luke's Matfield, in a joint benefice.
