Monthly Prayer Walk

We go prayer walking every month, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. Here Dorett shares with us what these walks mean to her:

"I have had the privilege to live in a place in the past where I have seen the undeniable difference that prayer makes. It seemed to be a very difficult area where some people were so financially rich, lived in a type of seclusion, and seemingly had everything one could desire in life. Therefore we couldn't offer food, clothing or shelter to them, but we, through the words of prayer, offered life, and God used our prayers to break down every barrier and led people to His salvation.

In Joshua Chapter 1:3 God declares, “I promise you what I promised Moses: Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you”! NLT

God spoke these words to Joshua before he started his conquest for their inheritance. I believe God is faithful to His word, and He did give the land to His people, but they had to take it. One of the things the Lord told Joshua to do was to march around the walls of Jericho. There was no literal fighting just walking and the blowing of trumpets. And the Lord gave them the land. Prayer walking is like this, spiritually lifting an area before God for His will to be done and he will draw to Him the people He is calling.

Prayer walking is gospel-life-work participating with heart and feet and voice in the mission of God for this area. Prayer is a powerful weapon, and as we walk among people, like Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, we too speak life and hope to these precious people in our community.

Amazingly, God uses our prayers to accomplish the miraculous - Hallelujah!"
