On Sunday 30 November, the congregation of Christ Church Hackenthorpe was delighted to receive the news from the Bishop of Sheffield that Revd Jane Emson has been appointed Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Christ Church Hackenthorpe and Oversight Minister in the Mission Area of South East Attercliffe.

A brief introduction from Jane:

Hello, I'm Revd Sister Jane Emson. I am truly excited to be coming to Christ Church Hackenthorpe, getting to know my new church family, and being involved in all the wonderful things taking place.

I believe that the Lord has brought us together to build on what has already been achieved and to draw many more to him, both in Hackenthorpe and in the wider mission area.

Returning to my hometown of Sheffield means a great deal to me, and I can't wait to be closer to my children, grandchildren, family and friends.

We look forward to welcoming Jane as she seeks to make the move to Hackenthorpe in the near future!
