St. Catherine's is a light and airy brick built church with a single tower. Designed by Sir Basil Spence. It is in the Anglo-Catholic Tradition. the parish has passed the resolution under the Hose of Bishops' Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops and Priests (2014),is affiliated to The Society under the patronage of St Wilfrid & St Hilda, is part of the Sheffield Hicklton Mission Partnership, and is under the pastoral care of the Bishop of Beverley.The parish Priest Fr Philip Knowles is a Society Priest & member of Society of the Holy Cross & Forward in Faith.
