Everyone is welcome. A time to relax, chat and enjoy a cuppa. It’s an opportunity to make and build friendships. You’ll always find church family members enjoying a drink, catching up or connecting with new people. There’s a warm welcome waiting for you. The “At your Service” will be available to help you to arrange a baptism, a wedding or have your Banns of Marriage published at St Francis’ Church. We meet on the first Saturday of the month between 10am and 12noon.
Friday Night Youth (FNY) is our group aimed at 14+. Our aim with this group is to provide a safe space for teens to socialise, share what’s going on in their lives and be listened to. Each session starts with free time where young people can play a game of pool, have a match of Fifa, chill and chat with some colouring or a board game, or grab a snack from the tuck shop. We then have a short reflection time to look at a life issue from a Christian perspective, and finish with a game.
FNY usually runs 7:00 – 8:15 Fridays (during term time). From time to time we also have socials, trips and residentials. Check out the term plan for the latest information. Please speak to Dan if you are interested in coming. [email protected] or 07470283307
Vision is our youth discipleship group. It’s where, as a church, we specifically focus on investing into our young people’s spiritual development. There is always food and lots of fun, and alongside that fun our aim is to encourage and support our young people to grow a deep, lifelong relationship with Jesus. We encourage growth in ministry of the Holy Spirit and prayer alongside bible study and worship.
Vision usually runs Sunday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 (during term time), and we start each session by sharing a meal together (a £1 contribution is asked). Please speak to Dan if you are interested in coming. [email protected] or 07470283307
Roots is our youth group for young people in years 5 to 8 (ages 9 – 13). Our aim with this group is to provide a safe place to explore the Christian faith, build healthy friendships with other young people and have loads of fun. We hope it’s a group where young people feel at home and can invite their friends along to. Each session usually includes games, team challenges, singing/dance and a reflection where we look at an aspect of the Christian faith or story from the bible.
Roots usually runs 5:30 – 6:30 Fridays (during term time). From time to time we also have socials and trips, check out the term plan for the latest information. Please speak to Dan if you are interested in coming. [email protected] or 07470283307
