Church of England Diocese of Sheffield St. James, Clifton

St James

Welcome to St James Clifton, your friendly neighborhood church.

Whilst our doors may be closed we are very much open and alive as a church community. We have recently welcomed our new priest in charge Toby Gibbons who would be delighted to meet you all and have begun a new phase of ministry working along side St Cuthberts Herringthorpe and St Mary Magdalene Whiston.

The parish of Clifton: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Sheffield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
