Floodlighting the Minster

Thank you to Martin, Christopher and Michael Foley who sponsored the floodlights on Saturday 28th March in memory of their father, John Thomas Foley, who would have been 100 on that day.

​At a time of increasing uncertainty, the cost of electricity has increased for everyone and, to help reduce the Minster’s bill, we are asking for support to showcase the building’s magnificence under floodlights.

If you would like to support, the cost to light the Minster is £25 for one night or £150 for a week. You could do this in memory of a loved one, to celebrate a special occasion or to maintain the building under floodlights so it can be seen illuminating the night sky. This can be acknowledged in the weekly service sheet, website and social media should you wish.
