St Laurence

Welcome to St Laurence’s Parish Church Adwick-le-Street.

St Laurence’s is an ancient church - there has been Christian worship on this site for almost 1000 years and today we still seek to be relevant to the community in which we live.

We believe that Jesus’ love is not just for those who come regularly to church but is to be shown to everyone. I am always happy to hear from people, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

During Covid we are not opening for services, but we are recording services by zoom every Sunday. Readings and the zoom service are circulated by email in advance each week. Please contact [email protected] to be added to the distribution list.

The parish of Adwick-le-Street: St Laurence is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Sheffield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
