Welcome to St Thomas and St James, Worsbrough Dale
Set on the side of a hill surrounded by a variety of trees, this church has served this community since 1859 and traces of those lives remain in the registers of generations of baptisms, marriages and deaths; in names and events recorded on monuments, tombs and headstones.
The inside of this church, with its stain glass, wall painting and monuments enable us to glimpse how generations understood their own faith.
Churches are built for people to come and worship God. Christians seek to express the love of God, in the Christian tradition, to support and care for people, whatever their status, race or creed – of those with faith and those with none.
We currently have our Holy Communion Service at 9.30 am on every Sunday.
Baptism services are currently scheduled in arrangement with the Vicar.
