About Us

There is a growing and vibrant community of worshipers at Kirk Christ. It continues to serve the people of Rushen as it has done for countless generations. It is particularly noted by local people for its peace and serenity. It is significant for many people as they have been baptised or married (or both) at the church. Sunday services take place at 9:30am. Refreshments are served at the back of the church after the 9:30 services.

Our regular services are:

First Sunday - Morning Prayer Common Worship

Second Sunday - Holy Communion Common Worship

Third Sunday - Morning Prayer Common Worship

Fourth Sunday - Joint service at 11am - Holy Communion Common Worship

Fifth Sunday - Morning Prayer Common Worship

Kirk Christ is one of the four churches in the Parish of Rushen which is situated in the south west corner of the Isle of Man, serving Port Erin, Port St Mary and Cregneash.

The Parish Burial Ground which surrounds Kirk Christ contains many historic as well as more recent graves and is an oasis of peace for parishoners to remember their loved ones.

The parish of Rushen is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Sodor and Man’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
