Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Northern Ireland, He was awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal for his selfless acts of courage in bomb disposal duties in operational theatres.
After retiring from the British Army, he took up a position with the Ministry of Defence. He became a Christian in his early thirties and has served his local church on parochial church councils for decades.
