Church of England Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham Clayworth

St Peter's, Clayworth

***TIME OF NATIONAL MOURNING FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF HM QUEEN ELIZABETH ll***

Services on the next two Sundays will be a special liturgy for the period of mourning. The services are at 11.00am at Clayworth Parish Church this coming Sunday (11 September) and at 9.30am at Gringley Parish Church (18 September).

There is a Book of Condolence in the Parish Church, which residents are welcome to sign. Votive candles may be lit - often used as a focus for prayer. Flowers (unwrapped) may be laid around the holly tree in the churchyard. Or just come into Church and sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity and be alone with your thoughts at this difficult time.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

All Coronavirus restrictions are now lifted – Holy Communion is served in two kinds, with the wine by intinction (dipping). Those who prefer, may just receive the host (wafer). Some people choose to wear a face covering – it is entirely a matter of choice. Holy Communion is now administered at the altar rail.

See the post elsewhere (News & Notices) giving details of services, when and where. The church is now open every day from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
