St Mary of the Purification

Welcome to our churches in Blidworth and Rainworth working together to love and serve God and our communities.

Our vicar is Revd Zoe Burton

We seek to offer a safe peaceful space for people to meet with God and find their home within God’s family. Whether you consider yourself to have no faith or you are new to faith, or have been a Christian for a long time, all are welcome here, regardless of background, age or circumstances. We extend an invitation for people to come and experience God’s love for you!

Sunday services, St Mary's, start at 10am and alternate between Holy Communion (1st & 3rd Sunday of the month) and Morning Worship (2nd of the month).

The church is active in prayer and worship, supporting families through Life Event services: funerals, weddings and christenings; in pastoral care, the foodshare projects: supporting and meeting needs and partnership with other organisations in our communities

Our church is also home to what we believe is now a unique 'Rockings' service on the 1st Sunday in February each year.  We are also part of the Robin Hood Trail as legend has it that Will Scarlett is also buried in the churchyard.

Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life.
