Church of England Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham St. Simon and St. Jude Rainworth

St Simon & St Jude

Welcome! ‘Our churches here in Blidworth and Rainworth are working together with God, enabling relationships in community’

Our vicar is Revd Zoe Burton

We seek to offer a safe space for people to meet with God and find their home within God’s family. Whether you consider yourself to have no faith or you are new to faith, or have been a Christian for a long time, all are welcome here, regardless of background, age or circumstances. We extend an invitation for people to come and experience God’s love for you!

Our church buildings are able to open for 'Private Prayer' during the second lockdown during the Covid 19 pandemic. Although we are presently unable to open for Public Worship (gathered congregation for a church service in our buildings),  the church has remained very much alive during this time and continues to do so: our Sunday services with coffee time afterwards and Morning Prayer services are currently online on Zoom, we meet for Zoom Coffee on Friday mornings and join online in Night Prayer which can be accessed through Facebook, Youtube and this website; the church is active in prayer and worship, supporting families through funeral ministry, in pastoral care, supporting and meeting needs and partnership with other organisations in our communities.

Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please contact:

In the Parish of The United Benefice of Blidworth & Rainworth the Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinator is Maureen Garner, Tel contact – 01623 793232 for safeguarding issues only
