St Anne's Church, Worksop

We are a welcoming, all-age Anglican church seeking to worship God and introduce people to Jesus by sharing God's love and peace in our community.

We are committed to worship for all ages with our dedicated StA@10 all age service each Sunday, alongside our midweek family service StA Connect held in our local school, alongside our more traditional services StA@9 at 9.00am each Sunday and our contemporary evening worship StA@6. We have a strong focus on providing the best services for weddings, baptisms and funerals as well as a team of people who visit the sick and elderly in our community. Our midweek services and groups include Wednesday Welcome, a place of welcome at 2.00pm every week, a youth choir at 6.00pm and youth group at 7.00pm on a Thursday and youth drop-in on a Friday from 3.00pm.

The links with the local Church of England school next door are very important to us and we work hard together to encourage children in the school to grow in their faith. If you would like to find out more about anything that you see here please do contact us or come along to one of our services, we’d love to get to know you!

Common Worship
Common Worship forms the basis for this service and the language is fairly formal and traditional. The atmosphere is relaxed though leaders and preachers do wear robes. We sing mainly accompanied by the organ all the classic hymns. After the service – which lasts about an hour – refreshments are served in church where we come together with the wider church family.

A reflection on the year gone and God's vision and guidance for the year ahead.

Safeguarding

The parish of Worksop: St Anne is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please contact:
