Wider

1. Set up a jigsaw group, open to all in the church hall

2. Promote Men’s breakfast (with St. Wilfrid’s) at local hostelry

Both have had some success during the year, but the jigsaw group has folded, largely

as a result of the main group leader leaving the parish to emigrate recently.

Younger

1. Involve young people in mainstream church services

This has been successful with the establishment of a monthly GLU (God Loves You)

Sunday morning service involving all ages and abilities, also with Abbey Hill School

and our local Scout group offering to play leading roles at successful Sunday morning

Harvest Festival and Nativity services respectively.

Deeper

1. Groups and courses such as Christ Created and Advent groups

Both have had limited success during the year. The Christ Creative group (shared

with St. Wilfrid’s) folded, due to lack of regular support from St. Thomas’. Advent

groups had some success, but the groups did not continue to meet beyond Christmas.

2019 Targets

Wider

To engage actively with the Archbishop’s One Life Mission in September this year.

Younger

To continue working with scouts and schools.

Deeper

To promote the Wednesday group and work more closely with St Wilfrid’s during the <span style="font-size: 1rem;">interregnum e.g. by having monthly prayer meetings together.</span>
