Elton-on-the-Hill is a small village (population about 75), fourteen miles east of Nottingham.
As a small village, most residents of Elton know each other, and it is possible to engage with the community on an individual level. Church members work hard to issue personal invitations to everyone for services and events. For example, individual invitations for last year’s candlelit carol service were delivered to each household and resulted in a congregation of 64 plus a congregation of 22 for an early-morning all-parish Holy Communion on Christmas Day.
As the only community building in the village, the church is used as a welcoming venue for exhibitions and parish meetings.
