Farnsfield St. Michael Parochial Church Council (PCC) are intending to abide by the regulations for the care and maintenance of churchyards provided by the Chancellor of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, to Farnsfield Churchyard. To this effect, the council has placed notices on the main external church notice boards and in the churchyard itself, informing those caring for grave plots and memorial stones in the gardens of remembrance, as to what is permitted under faculty.
We would ask that all those who visit the churchyard for the purpose of refreshing flowers, please read the regulations and make arrangements to remove any items not permitted by Sunday 1st July 2018. After that date the PCC will reserve the right to package and label unauthorised items for collection from the rear of the clock tower.
Please note restrictions are in place in line with Government and CofE advice Hand Sanitizer on entry and exit from church, 2m social distancing and face coverings must be worn. Singing of hymns is not permitted but music will be played. There will not be a Chalice but wafers will be distributed and the service will be shorter.
We hope this is only a temporary measure and we will update you with any changes.
