On Monday June 10th, members of The Hive came to visit church, this included a tour of our building, looking at some of our artefacts and pictures and finding out about the history of the church.The talk was given by our Churchwarden, Peter Henry and was assisted by one of our older members of the congregation, Ken Pickles. Since June 2018 we have been using churchbox, a church administration system. The PCC have now decided to upgrade our administration system to Iknow Church, this is the Church of England preferred system. Members of our congregation will shortly be getting an email asking you to create your account, can we please ask, in the first instance that everyone does this.Anyone who serves on a rota, can you enter dates your not able to cover All rota reminders and general information will moving forward be sent from our iknow church accountPlease feel free to play around with the system, add your prayer requests or your Thanksgivings.Our Churchwarden, Peter Henry is happy to help anyone set up their account he is available on a Tuesday and Saturday at coffee mornings and after Sunday service.
Christ Church opens its doors this Ascension day, Thursday May 30th at the start of thy Kingdom Come, a global wave of prayer, from Ascension day to Pentecost. Join us at the start of this years wave of prayer we have reflective prayer stations and prayer resources, or you can sit in the peace and quiet of the church.Church will be open from 9am till 4pm with activities for children of all ages.
In 2018 Christ Church held it's first light up with love this Mothering Sunday. With over 250 candles being lit for mums and anyone who has been like a mum to us.This year we will again be lighting the church with love.
