New Horizons is a bereavement cafe open to anyone who has suffered any kind of bereavement, either recently, months ago or years ago. New Horizons will be a safe place to talk to others who understand what losing a loved one feels like.

Join us for tea, coffee, cake and conversation - grief is a journey that no one should have to go through alone.

We will follow our custom of having a light meal at 6:30 pm, followed by a study from 7 pm to 8 pm.

People are welcome to bring their own bible (we will have the scriptures printed), and a pen would be helpful.

We will have the opportunity for people to sign up to bring soup and/or bread for the meal. Come and See!

The Needlecraft Group meet on the second Saturday of every month from 10am - 11.30am.

The group work on some church related items, items to sell at Craft Fairs to raise funds, or just personal projects. If your skills are in tapestry, crochet, knitting, embroidery or sewing etc, or if you would like to learn more about these skills just join us and enjoy a hot drink and chat with fellow needlecrafters.

Maundy Thursday is the day that commemorates the Washing of the Feet and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles.

The Stations of the Cross are a narration of the final hours in the life of Jesus Christ on earth. Learn the biblical and traditional accounts of the 14 stations and what they teach us about obedience, temptation, and humility. The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as the Way of Sorrows or the Via Crucis, are a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying prayers.

The Good Friday liturgy marks the day of Christ’s suffering, crucifixion, and death and is a continuation of the Maundy Thursday liturgy. We begin in silence as we ended last night. On this most solemn of days, we fix our gaze on the cross at Golgotha. The cross serves as a sign of God’s never failing love for us even in the midst of death.

The Easter Vigil, also called the Paschal Vigil, the Great Vigil of Easter, or Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil on the Holy Night of Easter is a liturgy held in traditional Christian churches as the first official celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus. Historically, it is during this liturgy that people are baptized and that adult catechumens are received into full communion with the Church. It is held in the hours of darkness between sunset on Holy Saturday and sunrise on Easter Day – most commonly in the evening of Holy Saturday or midnight – and is the first celebration of Easter, days traditionally being considered to begin at sunset.

Christingles are made up of different parts, each part there to remind us of:

The orange represents the world.
The candle reminds Christians of Jesus who we believe he is the light of the world.
The red ribbons goes around the 'world' and being the colour of blood, reminds Christians that Jesus died for us.
The four cocktail sticks can represent either the four corners of the world or the four seasons.
The sweets, or dried fruit, reminds Christians of God's gifts to the world including love.
