About Us

St John The Baptist Kirkheaton is situated about ¾ mile from Kirkheaton village centre, our Rector Reverend Ian Jones was appointed and welcomed to the Parish in June 2017.

It has been a regular place of worship for hundreds of years.worship has long been evangelical, and sometimes very informal by Anglican standards. We use a mixture of traditional, contemporary and alternative approaches in word, music, drama, and movement, and contemplative / meditative styles.
