A Time to Remember

David, who died in October 2024, led the congregation and village community in the building of the new St Peter’s Church, the consecration stone of which was laid on 28 June 1989, 36 years ago. This was the third St Peter’s Church on this site, the first having been destroyed by fire, and its replacement, built on poor foundations by the Victorians, had been demolished a few years earlier.

You may remember David as your parish priest, or the man who baptised your child, or married you, or helped you through the loss of a loved one. Whatever your reason, you are welcome to join us as we remember a man who made a difference.

Come and meet up at 2pm on Saturday 28th June to enjoy an hour of memories and song, followed by afternoon tea, with more of the same!
